Another year, another crop.
Firstly, congratulations are due to 2010's new student radio directors Casey Simon Briggs and Christine Kavanagh. Also uncontested and thus automatically elected were the Social Justice, Queer and Environment positions on the SRC. Best of wishes to Bec Taylor, Courtney Griffiths and Joel Dignam.
That's at three to Indy-Go already.
Indy-Go is fielding a wide field of candidates, along with the Labor Right. As a quick glance at the list below will demonstrate, this seems to be shaping up as a two-horse race.
Note: Political affiliations are to the best of my knowledge. I'll change any mistakes as I am alerted to them. It's also worth noting that Activate is Labor Left, and Indy-Go mainly consists of left-wing independents. The Internationals are donated as such merely because they tend to run on a joint ticket in student elections, and often act like a faction in negotiations with the other groups. The Labor Right candidates are donated as such as I am uncertain of their team name at this stage, and can only assume that they are on a ticket organized by Labor Right member Andrew Anson.
